கே.பாலசந்தரின் `சிந்து பைரவி’ திரைப்படம் 1985-ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 11-ம் தேதி ரிலீஸானது. திரையரங்களில் குடும்பங்கள் கொண்டாடிய சிந்துபைரவி படம் வெள்ளி விழா கண்டது. சிந்து பைரவி கொண்டாடப்பட 4 காரணங்கள்..!

இயக்குநர் சிகரம் கே. பாலசந்தரின் கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனத்தில் வெளியானது சிந்து பைரவி படம். 1980-களின் இறுதியில் தனது மேஜிக்கால் தமிழ் சினிமா ரசிகர்களைக் கட்டிப்போட்ட கே.பாலசந்தரின் படங்கள் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றன. மிகைப்படுத்தல் இல்லாமல் நாம் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையில் கடந்துபோகும் கேரக்டர்களால் வெகுஜனங்களைக் கவர்ந்தார். ஜே.கே.பி கேரக்டராகவே நடிகர் சிவக்குமார் வாழ்ந்திருந்தார். அதேபோல், அவரின் மனைவியாக சுலக்‌ஷனாவும் தீவிர ரசிகையான சிந்து கேரக்டரில் சுகாசினியும் நடித்திருந்தனர். 1985 நவம்பரில் சிந்து பைரவி படத்தோடு 12-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்கள் வெளியானபோதும், இந்தப் படம் ரசிகர்களிடம் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றது.

புகழின் உச்சியில் இருக்கும் ஜே.கே.பி (சிவக்குமார்) என்ற பாடகன், தனது தீவிர ரசிகையான சிந்துவைப் பார்த்ததும் காதலில் வீழ்கிறார். ஒழுக்கத்தின் மீது தீவிர நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருக்கும் அவர், திருமணத்தை மீறி ரசிகையுடன் காதல் கொள்கிறார். ஒரு கட்டத்தில் குடிக்கு அடிமையாகி, அவமானங்களை சந்திக்கிறார். தனது தீவிர ரசிகை சிந்துவின் உதவியோடு குடிப்பழக்கத்தில் இருந்து மீளும் ஜே.கே.பி, மீண்டும் சபைகளில் பாடத் தொடங்கி, இழந்த பெயரை மீண்டும் ஈட்டுகிறார். சிக்கலான குடும்ப உறவுகள், குடிப்பழக்கத்தால் ஏற்படும் பிரச்னைகள், சமூகப் பார்வை என இந்தப் படம் பேசிய அடர்த்தியான விஷயங்கள் மக்களை வெகுவாகக் கவர்ந்தன.
