சுங்கத் துறை அதிகாரிகள் போல் போன் செய்து பணம் பறிக்கும் கும்பலிடம் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருக்கும்படி சைபர் கிரைம் வல்லுநர்கள் எச்சரிக்கை விடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
Custom Fraud
ஆன்லைன் மோசடிகள் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் புதுப்புது வடிவில் அரங்கேறிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இந்த மோசடி லிஸ்டில் தற்போது Custom Fraud என்ற வகையில் புதியவகை மோசடியும் இணைந்திருக்கிறது. சமீபத்தில் கேரளாவைச் சேர்ந்த பெண்மணி ஒருவர் 12 லட்ச ரூபாயை இந்த மோசடி கும்பலிடம் இழந்திருக்கிறார்.
எப்படி நடந்தது மோசடி?
சுங்கத் துறை அதிகாரி போல கேரள பெண்மணிக்கு போன் செய்த மோசடி கும்பலைச் சேர்ந்த நபர், `உங்களுக்கு பார்சலில் பரிசு ஒன்று வந்திருக்கிறது. ஆனால், அதற்குரிய சுங்கக் கட்டணம் செலுத்தப்படாமல் இருக்கிறது. ரூ.15,000 சுங்கக் கட்டணத்தைச் செலுத்தி அதை நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம்’ என்று சொல்லி ஒரு அக்கவுண்ட் நம்பரை கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.
இதை நம்பிய அந்தப் பெண்மணி குறிப்பிட்ட தொகையை அனுப்பியதும், அந்த பரிசுப் பொருளின் மதிப்பு 10 லட்ச ரூபாய்க்கு மேல் இருக்கலாம் அதனால், கூடுதலாக கட்டணம் செலுத்த வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக அவரிடமிருந்து பணம் பறிக்கத் தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார். ஒரு கட்டத்தில் 12 லட்ச ரூபாய் அளவுக்கு பணத்தைப் பறிகொடுத்த பிறகே, தான் மோசடி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது அந்தப் பெண்மணிக்குத் தெரியவந்திருக்கிறது.
மோசடி வலையில் விழாமல் இருப்பது எப்படி?
- இப்படியான அழைப்புகள் வரும் பட்சத்தில், உண்மையிலேயே உங்களுக்கோ அல்லது உங்கள் குடும்பத்தினருக்க்கோ அப்படியான பார்சல் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறதா என்பதை உறுதி செய்துகொள்ளுங்கள். அப்படி இல்லாதபட்சத்தில், அந்த போன் காலை உதாசீனப்படுத்திவிடுவது நல்லது.
- குறிப்பிட்ட பார்சல் என்று மோசடி கும்பல் சொல்லும்போது, அந்த பார்சலுக்கான Document Identification Number (DIN) எண்ணை வாங்கி மத்திய சுங்கத்துறையின் CBIC இணையதளத்தில் சரிபார்க்கலாம்.
- இதைவிட முக்கியமான உங்கள் போனுக்கு ஏதேனும் வெப்சைட் லிங்குகள் அனுப்பப்பட்டால், அதை கிளிக் செய்வதைத் தவிர்த்துவிடுங்கள்.
- மோசடி கும்பலிடம் உங்களின் பெயர், முகவரி, வங்கிக் கணக்கு உள்ளிட்ட எந்தவொரு தனிப்பட்ட தகவலையும் பகிர வேண்டாம்.
- இப்படியான மோசடி கும்பல் உங்களைத் தொடர்புகொண்டால், உடனடியாக அருகிலுள்ள காவல்நிலையம் அல்லது சைபர் கிரைமில் இதுபற்றி புகாரைப் பதிவு செய்யுங்கள்.
