ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் வரலாற்று வெற்றிபெற்று சமீபத்தில் இந்திய அணி தாயகம் திரும்பியது. இந்திய அணியின் சாதனையைக் கொண்டாடிக் கொண்டிருந்த அதே நேரத்தில் ஒரே ஒரு வீரர் தன்னம்பிக்கை இழந்து துவண்டுபோயிருந்தார் 21 வயதான பிரித்வி ஷா. காயங்கள், தடைகள் தாண்டி இந்திய அணியில் இடம் கிடைத்தாலும் பெரிதாக சாதிக்க முடியவில்லையே என்ற ஏக்கம் அவரை வாட்டி வதைத்தது. மும்பை பந்த்ரா ஸ்டேடியத்தில் இரண்டு பயிற்சியாளர்கள் உதவியோடு அவர் கழித்த 5 நாட்கள், அவர் கரியருக்கே திருப்பு முனையை ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கிறது. பிரித்வி ஷாவுக்கு என்ன நடந்தது? பின்னணி என்ன… வாருங்கள் பார்க்கலாம்.
மகாராஷ்டிராவின் தானேவைச் சேர்ந்த பிரித்வி ஷா, 14 வயதிலேயே தனது சாதனை இன்னிங்ஸால் பிரபலமடைந்தார். பள்ளிகள் இடையே நடக்கும் ஹரீஸ் ஷீல்டு கோப்பை தொடரில் ரிஸ்வி ஸ்பிரிங்ஃபீல்டு அணிக்காகக் களமிறங்கிய பிரித்வி ஷா, ஒரே போட்டியில் 546 ரன்கள் குவித்தார். கடந்த 2013ம் ஆண்டு நடந்த இந்த சம்பவம் பிரித்வி ஷாவை ஒரே நாளில் பிரபலமாக்கியது. அதே ஆண்டின் ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் இங்கிலாந்து மான்செஸ்டரில் இருக்கும் சீடில் ஹல்ம் (Cheadle Hulme School) பள்ளி, தங்கள் அணிக்காக விளையாட அழைத்தது. சுமார் இரண்டு மாதங்கள் இங்கிலாந்தில் தங்கியிருந்து விளையாடிய நாட்களில் பிரித்வி ஷா 1,500 ரன்களைக் குவித்ததுடன், சுழற்பந்துவீச்சில் 68 விக்கெட்டுகளையும் வீழ்த்தினார். 2014ம் ஆண்டில் இங்கிலாந்து கிரிக்கெட் வாரியம் நடத்திய கவுன்டி பிரீமியர் லீக் தொடரில் யார்க்ஷையர் அணிக்காக விளையாடிய பிரித்வி, தனது பேட்டிங்கால் கவனம் ஈர்த்தார்.
2016ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பரில் ஆசிய சாம்பியன்ஷிப் கோப்பை வென்ற இந்திய ஜூனியர் அணியில் பிரித்வி ஷா இடம்பெற்றிருந்தார். 2017ம் ஆண்டு தொடக்கத்தில் ரஞ்சிக் கோப்பை தொடரின் அரையிறுதியில் தமிழ்நாடு அணிக்கெதிரான போட்டியில் மும்பை அணிக்காக லிஸ்ட் ஏ கிரிக்கெட்டில் அறிமுகமானார். அந்தப் போட்டியின் இரண்டாவது இன்னிங்ஸில் சதமடித்து மும்பை அணியில் தனது இடத்தை நிரந்தரமாக்கினார் பிரித்வி. 2017ம் ஆண்டில் ஜூனியர் கிரிக்கெட்டில் தனது ஐந்தாவது போட்டியை விளையாடிய பிரித்வி ஷா, சதமடித்து அசத்தினார்.
2017 செப்டம்பரில் துலீப் கோப்பை கிரிக்கெட்டில் அறிமுகமான போட்டியிலேயே சதமடித்த பிரித்வி ஷா, அந்தத் தொடரில் சதமடித்த இளம் வீரர் என்ற சாதனைக்குச் சொந்தக்காரரானார். அதற்கு முன்பு அந்த சாதனை சச்சின் டெண்டுல்கர் வசமிருந்தது. அதன்பின்னர், ஜூனியர் உலகக் கோப்பை தொடருக்கான இந்திய அணியின் கேப்டனாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டார். அந்தத் தொடரில் இந்தியா சாம்பியனாக வாகைசூடியது. ஜூனியர் உலகக் கோப்பையில் விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோதே, ஐபிஎல் தொடரில் டெல்லி அணி, ரூ.1.2 கோடிக்கு இவரை ஏலத்தில் எடுத்தது.
ஐபிஎல் அறிமுகம்
2018 ஐபிஎல் தொடரில் டெல்லி டேர்டெவில்ஸ் பாதி கிணறு கூட தாண்ட சிரமப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த சூழலில், பயிற்சியாளர் ரிக்கி பாண்டிங் இவருக்கு பிளேயிங் லெவனில் வாய்ப்புக் கொடுத்தார். அந்தத் தொடரில் 9 போட்டிகளில் விளையாடிய பிரித்வி ஷா, 245 ரன்கள் குவித்தார். அந்தத் தொடரில் இவரின் ஸ்டிரைக் ரேட் 153.2.
அதன்பின்னர், இங்கிலாந்து, இந்தியாவில் நடைபெற்ற தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா ஏ, வெஸ்ட் இண்டீஸ் ஏ அணிகளுக்கெதிரான போட்டிகளில் பிரித்விஷாவின் சிறப்பான ஆட்டம், அவருக்கு இந்திய அணியில் தேர்வாகும் சூழலை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தது.
2018ல் இங்கிலாந்து அணிக்கெதிரான நான்காவது மற்றும் ஐந்தாவது டெஸ்டில் பேக்-அப் ஓப்பனராக இந்திய அணியில் இடம்பிடித்தார். அதே ஆண்டு நவம்பரில் குஜராத் மாநிலம் ராஜ்கோட்டில் நடந்த வெஸ்ட் இண்டீஸ் டெஸ்டில் அறிமுக போட்டியிலேயே சதமடித்து கவனம் ஈர்த்தார். சச்சினுக்குப் பிறகு இளம் வயதில் சதமடித்த இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் வீரரானார்.
18 மாதத் தடை
2018ம் ஆண்டு ஆஸ்திரேலிய டெஸ்ட் தொடரில் இடம்பெற்றிருந்த பிரித்வி ஷா, கையில் ஏற்பட்ட காயத்தால் ஒரு போட்டியில் கூட ஆடாமல் விலகினார். அதன்பின்னர் காயத்திலிருந்து மீண்ட பிரித்வி ஷா தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட மருந்தைப் பயன்படுத்தியதால், 18 மாதத் தடைக்கு ஆளானார். காயம் மற்றும் தடையிலிருந்து மீண்டு, 2020ம் ஆண்டு தொடக்கத்தில் நியூசிலாந்து தொடருக்கான இந்திய அணியில் இடம்பிடித்த அவர், அதில் பெரிதாக சோபிக்கவில்லை. இரண்டு டெஸ்ட் போட்டிகளில் 98 ரன்கள் மட்டுமே எடுத்த பிரித்வி, நியூசிலாந்துக்கெதிராக 2020 பிப்ரவரி 5-ம் தேதி நடந்த ஒருநாள் போட்டியில் அறிமுக வீரராகக் களம்கண்டார். முதல் போட்டியில் 20 ரன்களை மட்டுமே எடுத்த அவர், நியூசிலாந்து ஆடுகளங்களில் பெரிதாக ரன் குவிக்கவில்லை.

ஐக்கிய அரபு எமிரேட்ஸில் நடைபெற்ற 2020 ஐபிஎல் தொடரில் 13 போட்டிகளில் 228 ரன்கள் மட்டுமே எடுத்த பிரித்வி ஷா, மனதளவில் மிகவும் சோர்ந்து போயிருந்தார். அதன்பிறகு ஆஸ்திரேலியா சென்ற இந்திய அணியில் இடம்பிடித்தார். அடிலெய்டு டெஸ்டில் ஓப்பனராகக் களம்கண்ட அவர், இரண்டு இன்னிங்ஸ்களிலும் சேர்த்து மொத்தமாக 6 பந்துகளை மட்டுமே எதிர்க்கொண்டார். முதல் இன்னிங்ஸில் டக் அவுட், இரண்டாவது இன்னிங்ஸில் 4 ரன்கள் என அவரது செயல்பாடு மோசமாக இருந்தது. அதன்பிறகு நடந்த 3 போட்டிகளிலும் பிரித்வி ஷாவுக்கு வாய்ப்புக் கிடைக்கவில்லை.
