தமிழகத்தில் இருக்கும் 24 சுங்கச் சாவடிகளில் சுங்கக் கட்டணம் ரூ.5 முதல் ரூ.50 வரையில் உயர்த்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. இது ஏப்ரல் 1-ம் தேதி அதிகாலை முதல் அமலுக்கு வருகிறது.

தமிழகத்தில் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலைகளில் மொத்தம் 48 சுங்கச் சாவடிகள் இருக்கின்றன. இந்த சுங்கச் சாவடிகளில் 24 டோல் பிளாசாக்களில் கட்டணம் உயர்வு ஏப்ரல் 1-ம் தேதி முதல் அமலாகிறது. ஏற்கனவே, பெட்ரோல், டீசல் விலை உயர்வால் வாகன ஓட்டிகள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் நிலையில், சுங்கக் கட்டண உயர்வும் அவர்களைக் கடுமையாகப் பாதிக்கும் என்று எதிர்ப்புக் கிளம்பியிருக்கிறது. 24 சுங்கச் சாவடிகளில் ரூ.5 முதல் ரூ.50 வரையில் கட்டணம் உயர்த்தப்படுகிறது.
