கடலூரில் காதலித்த பெண்ணை கர்ப்பிணியாக்கிவிட்டு திருமணம் செய்ய மறுத்த இளைஞருக்கு அறிவுரை கூறி அவர்களுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்து வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள் அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல்நிலைய போலீஸார். என்ன நடந்தது?
கடலூர் புதுமண்டிப் பாளையம் கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் பட்டதாரியான கலைச்செல்வி. இவருக்கும் அதே பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த தமிழ்செல்வனுக்கு கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் பழக்கம் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது. நாளடைவில் அது காதலாக மாறவே, இருவரும் பல இடங்களில் ஒன்றாக சுற்றி வந்திருக்கிறார்கள். இருவரும் ஓராண்டுக்கு மேலாகக் காதலித்து வந்திருக்கிறார்கள். ஒரு கட்டத்தில் நெருங்கிப் பழகவே, கலைச்செல்வி கர்ப்பம் தரித்திருக்கிறார். இந்தத் தகவலைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட பின்னர் கலைச்செல்வியோடு பேசுவதைத் தவிர்த்து வந்திருக்கிறார் தமிழ்செல்வன்.
கர்ப்பம் தரித்த நிலையில், வீட்டில் தகவலைச் சொல்லி தன்னைத் திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளும்படி வற்புறுத்தியிருக்கிறார் கலைச்செல்வி. கர்ப்பம் என்று கூறினால் தனது வீட்டில் திருமணத்துக்கு ஒப்புக்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள் என்று கூறியதுடன் கலைச்செல்வியைத் தொடர்ந்து சந்திப்பதையே தவிர்த்து வந்திருக்கிறார் தமிழ்செல்வன். இந்த விவகாரத்தில் சந்தேகமடைந்த கலைச்செல்வி கடலூர் அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல்நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்திருக்கிறார்.
புகாரைத் தொடர்ந்து இரு தரப்பினரையும் நேரில் அழைத்து விசாரித்திருக்கிறார்கள். போலீஸ் விசாரணையில் கலைச்செல்வியோடு பழகியதையும் கர்ப்பத்துக்குத் தானே காரணம் என்பதையும் ஒப்புக்கொண்ட தமிழ்செல்வன் திருமணத்துக்கு மட்டும் மறுப்புத் தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார். திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள மாட்டேன் என்று விடாப்பிடியாக அவர் சொன்னதைக் கேட்ட மகளிர் காவல்நிலைய போலீஸார், சிறை செல்ல தயாராக இருக்கும்படி கூறியிருக்கிறார்கள். இதைக்கேட்டு மிரண்ட தமிழ்செல்வன் இறுதியாகத் திருமணத்துக்கு ஒப்புக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.
இதையடுத்து, தங்களது சொந்த செலவிலேயே மணமகன் – மணமகளுக்கு உடைகள் மற்றும் திருமண ஏற்பாட்டை கடலூர் அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல்நிலைய போலீஸார் செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். இரு வீட்டார் முன்னிலையில் காவல்நிலைய வளாகத்தில் இருந்த விநாயகர் கோயிலில் திருமணத்தை நடத்தி வைத்து மணமக்களையும் ஆசீர்வாதம் செய்து வீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள் போலீஸார். இந்தத் தகவல் வெளியானதையடுத்து கடலூர் அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல்நிலைய போலீஸாருக்குப் பாராட்டுகள் குவிந்து வருகிறது.
