தமிழகத்தில் சாலை பாதுகாப்பு, விபத்துகளில் உயிரிழப்புகளைக் குறைப்பது குறித்து ஆலோசனை மேற்கொண்ட முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின், அதற்காக அரசு மேற்கொண்டு வரும் முன்னெடுப்புகள் குறித்தும் ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டார். சாலை விபத்துகளில் ஒரு லட்சம் பேரில் 23.9 என்றிருக்கும் இறப்பு விகிதத்தையும் குறைக்கவும் அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுத்து வருகிறது.
அந்தவகையில், சாலை விபத்துகளில் சிக்குவோருக்கு முதல் 48 மணி நேர சிகிச்சையை அரசே வழங்கும் என்று தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்திருக்கிறது. இன்னுயிர் காப்போம் திட்டம் என்ற பெயரில் இதற்கான அறிவிப்பை அரசு வெளியிட்டிருக்கிறது. அதேபோல், தமிழகத்தில் சாலை பொறியியல், வாகன போக்குவரத்து, காவல்துறை, மருத்துவத்துறை மற்றும் பள்ளி, கல்லூரி கல்வித் துறைகளை இணைத்து கருத்துக்களின் அடிப்படையில் வரைவு திட்டம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதனடிப்படையில் பல்துறை நிபுணர்கள் உள்ளடக்கிய `சாலை பாதுகாப்பு ஆணையம்’ என்ற ஒருங்கிணைந்த அமைப்பு சாலை பாதுகாப்பு திட்டங்களையும், வழிமுறைகளையும் , நடைமுறைப்படுத்துவதற்கு தேவையான நிதி அதிகாரங்களுடன் உருவாக்கப்படும் என்றும் அரசு அறிவித்திருக்கிறது.

யாரெல்லாம் பயன்பெறலாம்?
இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் முதலமைச்சர் மருத்துவக் காப்பீடு அட்டை இல்லாதவர்களும் பயன்பெற முடியும். தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் மட்டுமல்லாமல், தமிழகத்துக்கு சுற்றுலா வரும் வெளி மாநில, வெளிநாட்டவரும் இதன்மூலம் சிகிச்சை பெறலாம் என்று அரசு அறிவித்திருக்கிறது.
